VOLUNTEERS from Utility Alliance are set to help turn Seaton Carew, Hartlepool into a sea of colour.
As sponsors of Alice House Hospices annual Colour Run a group of people from Utility Alliance will be stationed along the 5k running route ready to throw orange paint at passers by.
Throughout the untimed event runners will be showered head to toe in different colours of paint powder from four different stations.
This will be the fourth Colour Run organised by the local charity and this year they’re hoping to make it the biggest yet. The run is open to all ages and abilities and will take place 21 July at 11am starting from the Old Coach Park in Seaton Carew.
Earlier this year Utility Alliance announced it would become the newest member of Alice House Hospices ‘Guild of Patrons’ committing to raising £5000 a year and sponsoring this event is another way of lending a helping hand to ensure all money raised on the day goes to the hospice.
Sadie Wise, PR & Marketing Assistant, said: “As a company we’ve had a strong relationship with Alice House Hospice and becoming a member of their Guild of Patrons just seemed like the obvious next step to cementing this relationship and showing our commitment to the charity.
“Sponsoring this exciting event not only helps the hospice but it’s also allowed our staff to get involved and all the volunteers from Utility Alliance are really excited about taking part in the Colour Run”.
Entry to the event which includes a white T-shirt, a packet of paint powder and refreshments is £15 for adults, £10 for children and £40 for a family of two adults and two children.
