Chloe’s career switch pays off in style!

20 February, 2020

ONE of Utility’s Alliance’s brightest stars has described the last few months as “life changing” after a dramatic career switch.

Chloe Noble joined UA in the summer of 2019 having spent time at Teesside University doing a teaching degree.

Being a teacher was something the 23-year-old always dreamed of, but as the course progressed she started to question whether or not life in the classroom was for her.

She took time out to travel America in the later stages of 2018, and when she returned to her Darlington home in February she was unable to get back on her foundation course until the next student intake in September that year.

Chloe spent time working in a gym as well as for a mobile phone network, and she remembers the call from UA which would ultimately change her life.

“I was on my way to Glastonbury with my friends in a camper van when the phone rang,” she recalled.

“They had seen my CV online and decided to get in touch. I knew someone who worked for UA so I picked their brains, and in the end I thought I had nothing to lose.”

Chloe started off her UA life as a Lead Generator, and she hit the ground running by hitting her target every month.

But she couldn’t quite shake off the dream being involved in teaching, and when the vacancy for a Sales Performance Coach was advertised internally she jumped at the chance.

She added: “It’s different to teaching in a school, but the process is essentially the same. I’m in a position where people can learn from me, and I take a lot of satisfaction from that. I’d always shown an interest in the training side of the business when I began here, and when the job came up I was desperate to get it.

“I think it helps when I can stand there and tell people I’ve been on the phones, I understand the frustration when things may not go well and I can pass on my experience. I think that means lot when people know you’ve been there and done it.”

Chloe admits she could have made more money had she opted to stay on the sales side of the business, but nevertheless her new role has helped her make drastic life changes inside the first year of her being with Utility Alliance.

“A year ago my life was completely different. I had some personal issues, but since I’ve joined UA I’ve never looked back,” she added.

“I’ve bought my first house with my boyfriend and I’ve got a brand new car, so there’s two things I couldn’t have done had it not been for UA. “It’s a great place to work, the people are fantastic and the support you get is brilliant. I know it sounds cringey but I can honestly say it’s been life changing and I would recommend anyone to come and work for us.”
