Utility Alliance is delighted to announce it has agreed a deal to become the official energy partner of Super League giants Wigan Warriors.

The company, which has a headquarters in Hartlepool as well as bases in Newcastle and Sheffield, works in the B2B sector offering a range of packages seeking to help businesses save money on their utility bills and become more energy efficient.

As part of the partnership, Utility Alliance will appear on the front of the Club’s playing shorts for the 2020 season. The firm’s branding will also be beamed around the LED advertising boards at the DW Stadium.

Kirstie Wallace, Corporate Relationship Manager at Utility Alliance, said: “We are delighted to be involved with Wigan Warriors ahead of what promises to be an exciting season.

“We have spent a lot of time working behind the scenes with the executive team at Wigan, and we look forward to building up a mutually beneficial relationship moving forward.

“Wigan Warriors are one of the most iconic brands in rugby league, and to be linked with the Club as their Official Energy Partner is something which gives everyone connected with Utility Alliance a great deal of pride.”

Wigan Warriors Executive Director Kris Radlinski added: “We are delighted to welcome Utility Alliance into our commercial partnership family for 2020 and beyond.

“Since moving into our new world-class facility at Robin Park Arena, we have been working very closely with Utility Alliance to improve our energy efficiency in order to reduce our usage and save on our utility bills.

“It soon became apparent that Utility Alliance are experts in their field, so we look forward to introducing them to members of our corporate network and local businesses with a view to building mutually beneficial relationships which will add value to the whole community.”

The announcement of Utility Alliance as Official Energy Partner formally brings to an end the Club’s relationship with npower.

Wigan Warriors Executive Director Kris Radlinski added,

“When it became apparent that npower were not in a position to renew their partnership due to a takeover by Eon, Wigan Warriors moved quickly to secure Utility Alliance as our new Official Energy Partner in what represents a significant partnership for the Club.

“We would like to put on record our thanks to npower for supporting not only the Club but also it’s fans and community in recent seasons and wish them the best for the future.”
