Utility Alliance celebrates it’s third birthday after astonishing growth since 2015

28 February, 2018

HIP hip hooray – Utility Alliance is three today!

The company was set up on February 28, 2015, with just three members of staff.

Since then it has gone from strength to strength, and is now one of Hartlepool’s biggest employers with more than 250 staff.

In 2017, Utility Alliance Yorkshire opened its doors in Sheffield, and in the early part of 2018 a third office in Newcastle was acquired with a view to creating an additional 150 jobs.

Now, moving into year four, Utility Alliance’s three directors, Bob Moore, Phill Moore and Darren Sutherland had the following to say: “We always believed and knew our business would be where it is today, the growth and expansion were always part of the plan.

“There has been so much change and progression since we began, but none of that would have been achievable without our fantastic members of staff and the amazing support from the people of Hartlepool.

“This doesn’t mean there hasn’t been challenges along the way. Recruitment in Hartlepool for a B2B contact centre was difficult after the fall of Garlands a few years ago, but we have managed to engage with people and in turn has meant we have been able to give so many young people in town opportunities they wouldn’t have dreamed of before.

“So much research and development has gone into the business over the last three years. We are continuously working on new projects to help our clients, including our Energy Services and EV charging.

“We are really excited for our plans moving forward. By our fifth birthday Hartlepool will be continuing to boom, Sheffield and Newcastle will be filled to the brim, and we will be opening a second office in Yorkshire and another one in Northern Ireland.”

The three directors will be celebrating by taking staff out for pizzas and bowling, while the loyalty of some of the longest serving members of staff will be rewarded with gifts.
